How to wear an SI belt: 

Find the middle of the belt and put it on your R hip, between the top of your pelvis bone and the hip bone.  Then pull the back strap tight accross your back.  Then pull the front strap tight accross your front.  Adjust the tension in the straps so that it feels comfortable.  Do not ware this if it is making things worse.
